My name is Paul, I am a 53yr old husband, father of two boys, motorcycle nut and computer geek!

Although I have always had an interest in motorcycles, I didn’t get a license / bike until 2009 when a couple of close bereavements spurred me to scratch the motorcycle itch. After road riding, I quickly progressed to touring Europe (especially the Alps area) and then riding on track days all over the country. Hitting 50, and seeing how my children embrace life every day I decided to start racing.

I joined the British Motorcycle Racing Club (BEMSEE), which is the oldest and largest motorcycle club in the UK, and in 2021 raced in the Rookie 1000 classes. For 2022 and 2023 I raced in the Thunderbike Ultra and Powerbike classes.

For 2025, I will once again be racing with BEMSEE and participating in the Thunderbike Ultra class with the aim to get into the top 10. For some rounds I will also be competing in the MRO Retro 1000 class which races alongside the “Powerbikes” class, racing against the newest and best machinery.
